The O-50 is Lowden’s top of the line build with all premium Master Grade tonewoods. This was a showpiece at the 2024 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA earlier this year. This is one of George Lowden’s favorite builds (one of ours as well!) featuring a Sinker Redwood top and rare African Blackwood for the back and sides, a true Rosewood that some say can rival or exceed the tonal characteristics of the famed Brazilian Rosewood. Trimmed out with figured Koa comfort contoured arm bevel and bindings, an absolute comfort and aesthetic must have.
Beautifully balanced, this guitar has a full, big bottom end with clear mids and bell highs. Handmade in Northern Ireland, Lowden guitars are finished in satin and have the look, sound and feel of old world craftmanship. Meticulous attention to detail, Master Grade tonewoods and all wood marquetry make this a true heirloom quality instrument.
