This is a stunning one of kind custom Slope D Cutaway LSH from Bourgeois Guitars. We started with a hand picked set of premium Flamed Cuban Mahogany from Hawaii with no stain for the back and sides. We love the look of this rare wood and we wanted the true color and figuring to show through on this build. Then we paired it with an Aged Tone torrefied Bearclaw Sitka Spruce vintage sunburst top with Cocobolo bound large soundhole (LSH), fully bound up the body, neck and headstock in Cocobolo and added Dana Bourgeois’ Florentine cutaway. We topped it with Dana’s signature multi-colored herringbone purfling, Abalone rosette and Gold Waverly tuners with Snakewood buttons and the Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce bracing with Animal Protein (AP) glue under the hood powers this robust Slope D. The 25″ short scale configuration adds to the versatility of this Slope D, making it extremely comfortable for many styles of playing.
