This wonderful smaller sized S model from George Lowden and Co. in Downpatrick Northern Ireland was a showpiece at the 2022 NAMM Show this June and has some rarer upgrades for a 35 series. Built with a AAAA grade Alpine Spruce top (an upgrade and custom pairing for this 35 model) matched with a AAAA grade set of choice Cocobolo with vibrant reddish/ orange hue and contrasting dark streaks and a touch of light heart wood near the center seam for the back and sides. This build is accented with figured Maple custom contoured arm bevel and bindings, custom Maple and Rosewood 5-piece neck (not a standard custom feature on a 35), Abalone and Rosewood ring rosette, multi-wood purflings, Rosewood pinless bridge with split bone saddle, Ebony fretboard and headstock overlays and more.
A very comfortable sized guitar perfect for any style of playing. Very nice bass and midrange response that will surprise you. Works excellently for flatpicking, strumming, fingerpicking and alternate tunings. Anything you want to throw at it this wood and body size combination can handle.
