Buscarino Cabaret Custom Master Cocobolo and Carpathian Nylon String Classical Used (2017)

$9,000.00

Handmade by John Buscarino in Franklin, NC, this This clean very good+ condition 2017 Cabaret cutaway classical nylon string model built with master grade Carpathian Spruce top paired with master grade aged and seasoned Cocobolo back and sides with Cocobolo bindings and other custom upgrades.

The Cabaret is the perfect blend of traditional classical guitar and an acoustic archtop guitar. Specifically designed to meet the needs of the jazz or fingerstyle player, the Cabaret is based on the Herman Hauser I classical guitar design. The Cabaret incorporates traditional classical building methods with the modern innovations necessary for today’s jazz and fingerstyle playing. The graceful cutaway facilitates greater access for playing the upper register of the fretboard. Its carved back, unique among nylon-string guitars, enhances the lower midrange while aiding in projection. The two-way adjustable truss-rod gives easy access at the headstock for a perfect set-up. Special pickup systems are available for amplification of that beautiful acoustic sound.

Custom built with Cocobolo back, sides and bindings, clean European Carpathian Spruce top, flower pot sound port, Brazilian Rosewood variable downbearing bridge, oval soundhole inlaid with Snakewood and Mother of Pearl, Ebony fretboard, red multi-stripe purflings, Brazilian Rosewood headstock overlay, Stainless Steel frets, Gotoh tuners with Snakewood buttons, 1 15/16″ nut width, 25″ scale, upgraded Hiscox Artist hardshell case and more.

A great sounding and playing handcrafted boutique nylon string with low action and easy to play from the lightest touch. There was some slight back and top seam separation that was properly buttoned up. No cracks. Well taken care of.

John Buscarino is one of the few solo artisan luthiers handcrafting guitars working today. His instruments are prized not just for the beautiful sounds they produce, but also as the cherished possessions they inevitably become. Guitar player Steve Morse considers his Buscarino guitars “treasured works of art,” as do many of John’s customers. He is unique among today’s guitar builders in that he apprenticed with not one but two master luthiers. The first was Augustine LoPrinzi, from whom John learned the finer points of building classical guitars and later working with famed archtop builder Robert Benedetto, spending years perfecting the woodworking skills that today make him a master luthier in his own right. John has created hundreds of exquisite guitars using proven methods passed down over generations.
