Based on Dana’s iconic ‘Soloist’ model, the 000 50th custom features include stunning premium Macassar Ebony back and sides with rare flamed figuring paired with a hand voiced Bearclaw Italian Spruce top along with an exclusive 14 Karat Gold inlay package made up of the new ‘Ghost’ Squares & Diamonds fingerboard inlay along with a custom inlay on the heel cap plus Macassar Ebony fretboard, pyramid bridge and headstock overlay, Ebony bindings, Gold Waverly tuners with Ebony buttons and a 5oth Anniversary signed by Dana Bourgeois and numbered 1 of 5.

The 50th Anniversary Soloist Collection is comprised of 25 guitars total in 5 different body sizes, with only 5 or each size available worldwide. The 000 short scale has been a favorite build of Dana and Bourgeois fans alike for the comfortable body size comfort and ease of playing. The 000 is identical in body size to the 14-fret OM, though with a 25″ shorter scale. A short scale length brings the nut a little closer to the player, slightly reduces string tension and improves ease of playability, though at the expense of modestly reduced single-note power and presence. The 000 guitar has been favored for generations as a go-to instrument for vocal accompaniment.
