Limited to 45 guitars worldwide, The collection consists of three different guitar builds (15 each total), each a unique tribute to the original 38 featuring new, bespoke wood combinations paired with traditional 38 style appointments- the F-38 Indian Rosewood paired and Lutz Spruce, the O-38 with Bubinga and Cedar top and the F-38 Brazilian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce. This Lowden O-38 Limited Edition is built with figured Bubinga (also known as African Rosewood back and sides with rich and vibrant color paired with a Red Cedar top. Bound in Flamed Maple, the 38-style Abalone Pearl top trim, rosette and Leaf fretboard inlays just set it apart from the rest. The O is George Lowden’s Original body size, a big and boisterous jumbo with 17″ lower bout width. Other features include a 5-piece Mahogany and Rosewood neck, Rosewood pinless bridge and overlay, Ebony fretboard, Gold Gotoh tuners with Ebony buttons, a ‘Batch 45’ interior label signed by George Lowden and numbered #8 of 45, and much more.
Handmade in Northern Ireland, Lowden guitars are finished in satin and have the look, sound and feel of old world craftmanship.
