The even response and airy, shimmery qualities the OM has always been known for are maintained and expanded on in this superb custom build, featuring a Thermo-Cured (torrefied) Sitka Spruce Sunburst top paired with a wonderful set of Malaysian Blackwood for the back and sides. Malaysian Blackwood (Diospyros ebonasea) is a rare Ebony from Malaysia with darker tonal characteristics similar to Rosewood with the added benefit of clear mids and highs and is highly prized for it’s sustaining, glassy tap tone that’s compared to African Blackwood. This bookmatched set features dark and rich brown and red hues with black streaks and the striking contrast of the light heart wood center.
