A unique build from Collings Guitars in Austin, TX. We were able to procure this great set of Bolivian Rosewood from Collings with some nice beeswing figuring. Bolivian Rosewood (aka Pao Ferro) is a great tonewood with a wonderful complex tone but a bit more clarity on top. Paired perfectly with a German Spruce top, this custom OM-42 features rare Black Pearl 42-style top border and rosette and is uniquely paired with Nickel Waverly tuners with Black Pearl buttons and blank fretboard (unusual for a 42).
Other features include full Ivoroid body fretboard and headstock bindings, Honduran Mahogany neck, 3-style back strip, Ivoroid heelcap and wedge, tortoise pickguard and more.
