The Traditional or “T” Series guitars reflect Bill Collings’ return to his guitar making roots and offer a new tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound. This D1A T features a torrefied Adirondack Red Spruce top with Figured Honduran Mahogany back and sides with Beeswing figuring across the grain and comfortable 1 11/16″ nut width. It’s built with traditional thin gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish with full body aging toner, making this exceptionally dynamic and responsive. Bracing and tone woods are adjusted for weight and thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, while retaining a quick attack and strong projection.
