The Bourgeois OMS is a nod to the early 12-fret dreadnoughts of the 1900’s pre-war era. This excellent condition 2016 model is built with with Cocobolo back and sides paired with an Italian Spruce top with hide glue construction giving warmth, clarity and balance and the touch of sweetness on top that makes it a great all around build.
Think of the Bourgeois OMS as the 12-fret version of the OM, as opposed to the other way around. It boasts all the tonal properties of their OM, with the added power and fullness of a long scale 12-fret. This design places the soundhole closer to the waist of the guitar aiding in maximum vibration. By locating the bridge at the widest part of the lower bout, it can most efficiently drive the top. This throwback design allows maximum power with minimum playing effort, while affording a loose, open quality to the sound. Because of this design, you get versatility, big tone and clarity all in the same package.
