Some years back, Dana Bourgeois built the first “Whyte Rabbit” L-DBO for the The Dixie Chicks with a Translucent White finish. We fell head over heels for this presentation guitar and decided to upgrade it even more with colorful Paua Pearl 41-style top purfling and rosette to match the floral fretboard inlays inlaid in the Mother of Pearl century blocks (yes inlays in inlays!) plus English Holly full body, fretboard and headstock bindings to boot. Built with Flamed Maple back, sides and neck paired with an Adirondack Spruce top with full body Translucent White gloss finish which allows the grain in the wood to still shine through. Aged Tone torrefied Adirondack Spruce braces and Animal Protein glue construction drive this beautifully balanced and articulate build. The look, playability and feel of the L-DBO-41 Whyte Rabbit is transcendent, an ethereal piece of musical art for the senses.
