In the mid-1980s Dana Bourgeois helped pioneer the reintroduction of the long-scale, wide-necked Orchestra Model, now the second most popular acoustic guitar after the Dreadnought. The OM’s short-scale 000 cousin, however, often receives less attention from dealers and players. Seeking to give the 000 a more distinct sonic identity, Dana has reduced the standard X brace to
1/4” width, resulting in a powerful, responsive voice not often associated with short-scale guitars. This is a stunning example of the versatility and richness of this body size and configuration.
