The back, sides and headstock overlay are made from highly figured and flamed Bastogne Walnut, a rare, natural occurring hybrid between California English Walnut and Claro Walnut that is found in northern California. It is the rarest and densest of Walnuts in the world. The top is a rare set of Alaskan Blonde Cedar, with almost the look of a Sitka Spruce. This softer top pairs wonderfully with the Walnut and creates a guitar with wonderful sustains and clarity from the lightest touch. Great balance throughout- bass to highs. Perfect for fingerstyle, yet surprisingly punchy and robust with a pick making it a great strummer as well.
A nice aesthetic touch is the wood ‘rope’ top purfling and rosette that accent the natural colors of the tone woods. Along with the full Ivoroid bindings and Walnut headstock overly, this is perfectly appointed guitar.
