While Lowden Guitars has a whole team of skilled builders crafting Lowden’s guitars, this master series model is built by George Lowden! These builds are labeled ‘George Lowden Luthier’ and are extremely rare- with an average of 5-7 guitars built a year. A masterpiece that is designed, selected and painstakingly built by the master himself along with his son Aaron.
This is the first O sized George Lowden Master Series guitar we have gotten and what a beauty to showcase this jumbo size. Thos George model features a premium master grade set of Bois De Rose (Dalbergia maritima) for the back and sides- a rare Rosewood from Madagascar, this striking wood has vivid magenta and violet/ purple characteristics with amazing tone. The top is a master set of Sinker Redwood with striking deep and rich color variation and tight grain. The Figured Koa contoured arm bevel and bindings adds comfort and contrast to the body while the figured Koa neck bindings adds a classy artistic flair. Sparkling blue and green Abalone Pearl top purflings and segmented rosette with figured Koa trim the top while the custom butterfly and branch inlay by Larry Robinson graces the fretboard. A definite keeper for any collection.
