There and back again, we are pleased to report that a great time was had by all at the 2020 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA this January. All things music related, from around the globe converged in So Cal for the whirlwind week which is The Winter NAMM. It truly is the melting pot of the music industry, where every brand, item, new and proven, can be found in the miles of aisles of booths and displays. Our objective for the show (and the shop) has been our acoustics, and meeting up with our salt of the earth makers and reps of the fine acoustic brands we prefer to carry.
We selected and pre-ordered some great instruments from the show from Santa Cruz, Lowden, Collings, Bourgeois, Martin, Deering and more. Mostly custom and new models, like the amazing “Red Stag” Slope D Brazilian custom from Bourgeois, The Lowden O-50 Fan Fret Sinker Redwood and Macassar Ebony, The Collings MT2 mandola with lush Merlot finish, or the Santa Cruz 000 “Killer Koa” Sunburst, and more. Not to mention the primo sets of Peach Guatemalan Rosewood and Cocobolo we hand picked from Martin for some spectacular custom shop builds to come later this year.
While at the show, Down Home Guitars’ Steve Haberichter was proud to be presented with the Santa Cruz Guitar Company’s #1 Top Dealer Award by founder Richard Hoover, as well as #2 for both Bourgeois Guitars and Huss & Dalton Guitars.
