This custom OM is built with a rare set of Figured Black Acacia back and sides paired with a Bearclaw European Spruce top. The Black Acacia (otherwise known as Blackwood though it is not black) is locally sourced from California, not far from where Santa Cruz Guitars are made. This has the same tonal properties as it’s very close siblings Hawaiian Koa and Tasmanian Blackwood (both of which are acacia woods). and has a wonderful orange/ brown coloring with flamed figure. Paired with the set of Bearclaw Euro Spruce, this is a pairing of eye popping sonic proportions.
