This is an excellent condition 2009 R. Taylor Style2 with premium Highly Figured Hawaiian Koa back and sides,Sitka Spruce 65′ radiused top, Cocobolo binding and Florentine cutaway.
The R Taylor guitars are amazingly balanced instruments from the boutique custom shop of Bob Taylor. Features like AAA Grade tonewoods, premium Abalone rosette with bound Cocobolo soundhole, Gotoh Gold 510 tuning machines and solid 1-piece kirfing (the lining around the inside edges of the guitar that is bent instead of serrated as on other guitars) come together to make this a collector worthy instrument. Also included is the original deluxe ‘R. Taylor’ Ameritage hardshell case.
Bob Taylor says this about the unique R. Taylor Style 2 build:
”After experimenting with body shape and dimension, bracing size and placement, scale lengths, bridge size and peghead design, the Style 2 was born. The body measures 15 inches wide at the lower bout (Style 1 being 16-1/4 inches), and 4-3/16 inches deep at the lower bout (compared to 4-7/16 inches for Style 1).
