Handcrafted by luthier Pava Knezevic in the shop at Tom Ellis Mandolins in Austin, Texas, this wonderful excellent condition 2016 A5 Pro A-style mandolin is built with a premium hand carved Adirondack Spruce top, Quilted Maple one-piece back and sides with tortoise bindings and gloss Honey Amber Varnish finish. In December of 2022 Bruce Weber in Montana set it up with EVO Gold frets, upgraded the tuners to Grover Gold 309s with pearl buttons , and did a speed neck. This is a warm and clear A5 Pro mandolin with projecting tone and percussive chop. Easy and comfortable to play.
Other features include Ebony tortoise bound floating pickguard, Gold Pava engraved tailpiece, Ebony radiused fretboard, floating adjustable bridge and headstock overlay, Pearl inlays and bone nut. There is a gold strap button properly installed in the neck heel.
