The Martin D-28 was chosen as the Show Special at the 2023 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA this past April. Featuring the first ever upgraded 1935 digital microburst printed top and the addition of forward shifted scalloped bracing this is a cool guitar with vintage vibe. A very limited edition build, the D-28 NAMM Show Special 2023 is built with a Sitka Spruce top and braces paired with Indian Rosewood back and sides, Ebony fretboard and bridge, antique White bindings and more.
For the past handful of years, Martin has been at the forefront of technology that digitally prints on lacquer. The Digital Microburst is based on Martin’s classic 1935 Sunburst, but it’s digitally printed into the lacquer, which means the finish remains exactly the same thickness and consistency. It’s a very cool sunburst that looks vintage.
