Lowden O-34C Koa and Sitka Spruce

Original price was: $6,765.00.Current price is: $6,090.00.

The O-34C is a new model in Lowden’s Original Series featuring Koa back and sides and a Sitka Spruce top with soft venetian cutaway. This is a great paring of tonewoods in this line that George Lowden experimented with years ago but has finally re-introduced as a standard model. Built like a 32 model but with the new upgraded Hawaiian Koa body and figured Maple bindings.

The ‘O’ model is George Lowden’s original body design first introduced in 1976 and is the largest jumbo sized body offered measuring 16 1/2″ across with a 5″ depth. The Lowden standard of passionate commitment to no compromise was well and truly set from the beginning. With no frills or fancy appointments, the O-25 is a more affordable Lowden, but still built with the same quality tone woods and construction as any other.

The Lowden O-34C combines old-world charm with top-notch craftsmanship. The aesthetics are more in common with classical guitars, with an uncluttered appearance, avoidance of synthetic materials (with the exception of the clear pickguard), simple rosette and purfling, and a fretboard free of inlays. Along with the Koa back and sides, Sitka Spruce top and Maple bindings, the O-34C features a 5-piece Mahogany and Rosewood neck, Ebony fretboard, Mahogany, Maple and Rosewood purflings, Rosewood pinless bridge with bone split saddle and more. The O-34C’s tone is sweet and clear – deep and resonant, not at all heavy or muddy even though the O is a jumbo size guitar. Great for strumming and picking alike.

Includes Ameritage hardshell case and Lifetime Warranty.
