This excellent condition F-50 Fan Fret built with stunning Master Grade Macassar Ebony back and sides and a Sinker Redwood top was a center piece for Lowden Guitars at the 2020 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA. A first of it’s kind, the premium striped Maccassar Ebony and striped Redwood are highlighted by the figured Tasmanian Blackwood arm rest and bindings and 50 style rosette. The curious angled bridge, frets and nut to accommodate the elongated scale for versatility and robust tone add to the mystique of this top of the line build.
Great for drop and alternate tunings, the fan fret design opens up a whole new realm of possibilities. Looking foreign to the newbee to fan frets, you will be amazed at how comfortable and natural it is. It’s hard for your fingers to not find where to go. It’s actually more natural for the way our fingers lay on the freboard, allowing space and comfort. The contoured arm bevel makes this mid sized jumbo feel so much smaller and easy to handle, and keeps you going for hours at a time without cramping up your shoulder.
This guitar is clean and well taken care of. Only a very slight small ding on the neck that does not even photograph. Excellent condition.
