We were blown away by how these hand picked tonewoods came to life into an eye catching build with robust, balanced and clear powerful tone. Colorful figured Plum Katalox (pronounced “katalosh” with a long O) make up the back and sides. Otherwise know as Royal Ebony, it’s a rare dense and vibrant wood from Central America with excellent sustain. The soundboard is a set of premium highly figured “Bearclaw” Italian Spruce with Abalone Pearl 41 style top purflings. The fretboard, bridge and headstock overlay are Plum Katalox as well and the striking custom rosette is an Abalone Pearl ring with matching in and out Katalox rings. Fully bound in Flamed Maple, this is a one of a kind work of art.
