A nod to the traditional slope-shoulder guitars of the 1930s and ’40s, Designed for brawny power, the Huss & Dalton DS Custom is a powerhouse sloped dreadnought with premium tonewoods and dashing good looks. This custom DS model is built with a back and sides set of attractive set of Ziricote for the with a touch of heartwood in the center for contrast, paired with an old growth set of vintage Sitka Spruce from the stash of Walter Lipton, founder of Euphonon Co., a guitar building and premium wood supply company in New Hampshire. He has amassed a collection of rare, high quality tonewoods in the 70’s which this is from. Extremely tight, silky grain with wonderful coloring that has a vintage tone and punch not normally found on your standard Sitka. Adding contrast to these tonewoods and the Ziricote fretboard, bridge and overlay is the vibrant red Bloodwood full bindings and custom rosette and Gold Waverly tuners with Black Pearl buttons, all of which just sets off this primo custom build.
