This Huss & Dalton Baritone Custom Prototype if the first baritone from Huss & Dalton Guitar Co. in Staunton, VA. The brain child of owner Brian Dickel, this deep throated baritone is built on the DS body with a long 28.75″ scale length for plenty of depth and growl. Tuned B to B, the extra length moves the bridge more to a sweet spot on the lower bout and elongates the neck a bit. A powerhouse build with total versatility- it would be a welcome addition in any collection that fits a different roll and sound.
The Baritone features Wild Grain Indian Rosewood back and sides paired with an Adirondack Red Spruce top for warmth, clarity and punch. Custom specs include Koa full body, fretboard and headstock bindings, Bronze rings with Paua Pearl dots fretboard inlays and Abalone Pearl rosette.
Other features include Ebony fretboard and bridge, Mahogany neck, Adirondack Spruce scalloped braces, figured Koa heelcap and wedge, Ebony headstock overlay with Pearl logo, Waverly Nickel tuners with oval buttons, black/ white purfling, 1 3/4″ nut width, 2 7/32″ saddle spacing, 28 3/4″ scale length, 42 1/2″ overall length, 20″ body length, 15 3/4″ lower bout, and more.
