Tiger Myrtle is a rare tonewood found in the rainforests of Tasmania. The black heartwood can cause the rare effect of streaking in the wood giving it the look of tiger stripes on the light hued wood. It has the responsiveness of Rosewood with the balance and clarity of midrange of Mahogany. The Bearclaw Italian Spruce top has a light weight to stiffness ratio and accentuates these characteristics pushing the highs and high mids to ring very clear, while retaining warm low mids with a sweetness throughout and great note separation.
