An excellent condition Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard Mastertone Banjo made in 1984, the inaugural year for this model. Copied after Earl’s banjo, this is built with figured Maple neck and resonator with orange/ yellow gloss finish, bronze tone ring, Ebony fretboard with pearl inlays and 3-ply Maple rim with label hand signed by Earl Scruggs. If you go back to the advertisements of that time, only 1984 were to be signed. This is #298 and part of the original run of these signature banjos.
Very well taken care of, will little to no fretwear or blemishes to speak of. Banjo is all original and includes the 2 D tuners.
