This 1987 Flatiron A Black Top mandolin is a perfect players instrument. Good condition with some signs of wear. Dings along the edges and headstock and some light top scratches but overall in great working order.
Hand made in Bozeman, MT, this is a Steve Carlson era build who partnered with Gibson around this time to make these. Starting in the later 70’s making pancake style flat top mandolins (hence the name) Flatiron is know for their quality carved mandolins as well. Bruce Weber made Flatiron mandolins before starting his own company in Montana, Weber mandolins.
