The Epiphone Masterbuilt Broadway was built in New York, NY from 1931-1939. This excellent condition archtop built in 1938 has no cracks, or heavy dings. A touch of some overspray on the finish but it gives it a wonderful glow for such a vintage instrument.
Features a carved tight grain Spruce top with Black Walnut back and sides giving it a punch and clarity that gives it more projection and range in the mids and highs than Maple. The Brazilian Rosewood bound fretboard features 7 Pearl block inlays and the headstock is adorned with Pearl “Vine” inlays and logo. Also features the Brazilian Rosewood adjustable bridge and vintage replaced “Frequensator” tailpiece.
This has had 2 strap buttons installed. One currently in the neck and one that was installed in the side near the neck on the bass side which has been removed.
