The D2HA from Collings is their Adirondack/ Rosewood powerhouse dreadnought, a true bluegrass cannon. We upped this with a striking set of red Cocobolo for the back and sides. Incredibly big and open with great response from the deep bass to crisp mids and highs. Cocobolo (which is a true Rosewood) is considered a great substitute for Brazilian Rosewood, and at a better price. Some might think it superior which keeps the great debate of best builds and tonewoods alive and well. The top is torrefied (baked) Adirondack Spruce, a perfect pairing to drive this powerhouse build. The custom Vintage Now neck carve will feel right at home in your hands. Try this one and you will agree either way that this is one amazing guitar.
Features a torrefied Adirondack Red Spruce top, Cocobolo back and sides, Mahogany neck with Vintage Now carve and diamond volute, Ivoroid bindings, prewar scalloped bracing, herringbone top purfling, Nickel Waverly tuners, Ebony fretboard and bridge, Ebony headstock overlay, bone nut and saddle, tortoise pickguard, Abalone Pearl square and diamond fretboard inlays, custom 1 3/4” nut width, 2 5/16” saddle spacing, 25 1/2″ scale length and more
