Very Good to Excellent condition 2018 Collings D1A T traditional series from Collings Guitars in Austin, TX. Built with a torrefied Adirondack Red Spruce top and Honduran Mahogany back and sides with traditional carve Mahogany neck with 1 3/4″ nut width and western sunburst top.
This guitar has been taken care and has minimal signs of wear to the discerning eye. A small spot of wear along the pickguard near the bridge but no issues. A few light dings on side and back but hard to see.
The Traditional or “T” Series guitars reflect Bill Collings’ return to his guitar making roots and offer a new tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound. This D1A T features a torrefied Adirondack Red Spruce top and bracing with Honduran Mahogany back and sides with a full body vintage toner and light sunburst. It’s built using animal protein glue (AP) and a very thin all nitrocellulose lacquer finish, making this exceptionally dynamic and responsive. Bracing and tone woods are adjusted for weight and thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, while retaining a quick attack and strong projection.
