Cuban Mahogany is a great tonewood and the heavy figuring of tight flame is pretty rare. This premium Flamed Cuban Mahogany comes from an estate in Hawaii and there is a very limited quantity of sets of wood from this tree. We originally custom ordered this near mint condition 2022 Bourgeois Slope D with no stain to show off the brilliant figuring and nuances of the Cuban Mahogany wood. This was ideally pared with a master grade set of Aged Tone torrefied Adirondack Spruce top with custom bound large soundhole (LSH). The Ziricote custom deluxe full body, neck, headstock and large soundhole bindings adds a great contrast to the lighter tonewoods. The matching Ziricote contoured arm bevel adds not only extra functionality and comfort to this build but also adds stylish good looks as well. Bourgeois’ Aged Tone package- proprietary full gloss Aged Tone thin finish, Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce top and braces and Animal Protein glue under the hood drives this beasty slope shoulder dreadnought, completing the whole premium package.
