In the late 1920s, 12-fret, slotted head guitars began their historic transformation into the solid headstock and alternate body sizes found in guitars still to this day. This rare Limited Edition 00-12 Vintage model is built Brazilian Rosewood back and sides paired with an Aged Tone torrefied Adirondack Spruce top and bracing with satin finish. Vintage specs include Ivoroid bindings, 1930’s style herringbone purfling, extra vintage ring rosette and backstrip, traditional bridge, and Animal Protein glue construction.
Other features include Waverly Gold Morning Glory Custom tuners, Ebony fretboard and bridge, Mahogany neck with volute, Abalone Pearl square and diamond inlays, Ivoroid heelcap and wedge, 1 3/4″ nut width, 2 5/16″ saddle spacing, Dana Bourgeois signature label and more. A great price for this boutique Limited Edition build.
Providing extraordinary comfort through a short scale length and condensed total length, the 00-12 transforms your perfect couch guitar into a versatile instrument with a surprisingly large sound. This is not your standard 12-fret small body 00. It’s got the shape of an elongated OM, just slightly smaller. The 12-fret short scale configuration pushes the bridge more towards the lower bout, more in the ‘sweet spot’ of the top. Warmth, volume and an ease of playing ensue.
Includes hardshell case and Lifetime Warranty.
