A wonderful jumbo sized guitar with tons of pop handcrafted by Neal Van Slett in Germantown, WI. Neal puts his heart and soul in every guitar he makes and this is no exception. He pairs a premium tight grained Engelmann Spruce top with a nicely figured set of Black Walnut for the back and sides. This guitar produces alot of sound without having to use a lot of energy. Highlighted by the used of Port Orford Cedar braces (despite it’s name it is a high grade Spruce from the northwest US), this jumbo moves air quickly producing low bass you can feel and nice crisp mids and highs. Great strumming guitar yet can be fingerpicked easily as well. Features Walnut binding and rosette as well as a Walnut, Maple and Rosewood 5 piece neck. The custom pearloid pickguard adds just the right amount of contrast to this bid body boomer.
Vesper Jumbo
The Jumbo from Vesper is the largest sound chamber Neal makes. With a 12 5/8″ upper bout, 17″ lower bout and a 5″ body depth, this is the ‘big boy’ in guitar building. You feel poof of the air moving in your chest when you play it. If you are looking for a cowboy style guitar, this is it.
