The folks at the Martin Custom Shop build some of the most exquisite guitars, for us. This is a prime example, a pinnacle OM-45 that’s fully loaded and a truly heirloom instrument. It’s a show stopper, ultimate conversation piece, musical work of art, or just a bad to the bone acoustic OM.
Premium Rare Rose Guatemalan Rosewood back and sides are used for the back, sides and overlay. This kind of Guatemalan Rosewood is very rare- it only comes from a single log. Unheard of by the folks at Martin, this is an exceptional grade of tone wood, tonally and visually. The top is VTS Premium Adirondack Spruce top with Ambertone finish and Golden Era scalloped braces. VTS, or Vintage Tone System, is aged torrefied wood, using only the best grade available. The complete Hide Glue construction and thin finish was the painstaking build of the highly sought after pre-war Martins. The glue sets like glass, enhancing the tone as it continues to cure over time with immaculate resonance aided by the vintage thin finish. New Zealand Blue Paua Abalone Pearl inlaid on every edge plus “Tree Of Life” fretboard, bridge and pickguard inlay- yes the pickguard is also made of Rare Rose Gautemalan Rosewood with a gloss finish- plus Alternate Torch and logo headstock inlay also in the same Rosewood. Fully bound in Figured Hawaiian Koa bindings with Genuine Mahogany neck with a 1 3/4″ nut width, Gold Schaller Grand Tune tuners, and much more.
