The Robert Johnson L-1 has the same haunting, timeless sound as the original 1926 L-1 played by the man whose legacy and contributions to the blues are unmatched. Though he died tragically at the age of 27, Johnson’s historic recordings have inspired artists in genres beyond the blues. The Robert Johnson L-1 guitar is tribute to his instrument of choice. With a rich, bold tone and surprising volume for a parlor guitar, the Robert Johnson L-1 meets the needs of today’s fingerpickers, folk and blues players.
Gibson Robert Johnson L-1 is built with Mahogany back and sides and a Sitka Spruce sunburst top. The Mahogany short scale neck is designed for ease of comfort and pairs perfectly with the smaller rounded L-1 body. The Rosewood fretboard has Robert Johnson’s signature inlaid in Pearl at the 17th and 18th frets. Plug in and play the blues with the LR Baggs Lyric pickups system installed.
This 2007 model is in very good+ condition with only a few tiny minor body and headstock dings and minimal fretwear. Looks and plays great.
