An original classic, this 1964 Gibson J-50 is in excellent condition as was very well taken care of. Originally released in 1947 as a natural top version of the popular J-45, this 1964 model has the original iconic oversized 60’s pickguard and Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and bridge. The slope shoulder short scale configuration has always been a huge hit and played by countless stage and recording musicians through the decades. The Spruce top is very clean and has aged nicely as well as the solid Mahogany back and sides. The adjustable bridge has been replaced with a Rosewood spacer and Bone saddle. Original bridge included. The original Kluson Deluxe tuners are in great shape and all good working order. The overall guitar is in excellent shape for it’s age, with just a few scratches and small dings and a tiny hairline finish crack on the back about an inch longer running south from the heel which is over the wood block at the neck.
