Hand built in Canterbury, England, the Atkin Essential D Pre-War offers 100% tone, stripped down to the bare essentials. A nod to the American dreadnought of the earl 1900’s with the feel and play like those vintage guitars of the Pre-War era. This excellent condition 2024 Essential D Pre-War powerhouse dreadnought sports an upgraded Baked (torrefied) Adirondack Spruce top and pre-war scalloped bracing paired with Honduran Mahogany back and sides. The Mahogany body is complimented by a lightweight Mahogany V-shaped neck- which is in keeping with the original tradition- along with an Ebony fingerboard and bridge. This boasts the standard aged finish with broken in/ worn look.
Other features include tortoise body bindings, Mahogany neck, Gotoh Nickel tuners, tortoise pickguard, Ebony pins, Bone nut and saddle, Pearl fretboard inlays, 25.4″ scale length, 1 11/16″ nut width and more.
