Clarence White was one of the most influential acoustic and electric guitarists of his time, playing with The Byrds, The Kentucky Colonels and many others. Martin Guitars released the D-28CW Clarence White Commemorative Edition in 2001 in honor of the legendary guitarist who died tragically in 1973.
Inspired by the most legendary guitar made by Martin, Clarence’s 1935 D-28 was his guitar of choice throughout his career and was also played by Tony Rice for most of his amazing career. This 2009 Commemorative Edition model is built with an Adirondack Spruce top and braces, Indian Rosewood back and sides, Dalmation pickguard, large soundhole and Ivoroid bound body and extended black Ebony fretboard. The interior label is numbered #661 and signed by Michelle White Bledsoe and C.F. Martin IV.
This D-28CW is in excellent condition with only a few small dings on the headstock and some light wear on thebody. There is a strap button properly installed in the heel of the neck.
