Clarence White was one of the most influential acoustic and electric guitarists of his time. The Martin D-28CW Clarence White Commemorative Edition was released in 2001 in honor of the legendary guitarist who died tragically in 1973.
Inspired by the legendary 1935 D-28 Clarence White played throughout his career, this dreadnought is built with an Adirondack Spruce top and braces, Indian Rosewood back and sides, Dalmation pickguard, large soundhole and Ivoroid bound extended black Ebony fretboard. The interior label is numbered #127 and signed by Michelle White Bledsoe and C.F. Martin IV.
This D-28CW is in excellent condition with only a few small dings on the headstock. A strap button hole has been filled on the neck and was done very well. There is a custom Abalone dot that was added to the heelcap. This is a wonderful sounding bluegrass guitar with all the volume, punch and balance you need for any jam. Very well taken care.
