The artfully crafted fretboard blocks, headstock and bridge inlays are Cocobolo with Mother of Pearl “Staghorn” inlays, shadow boxed by Cream Ivoroid edges. Cocobolo fully bound body, neck, headstock and wedge with Cream purflings, plus Gold Waverly tuners with Ebony buttons to match the inlaid Ebony headstock overlay,k bring the whole aesthetic package together. The Pearl “Staghorn” inlaid Cocobolo heelcap and Dana Bourgeois’ DB Signature wood arrow back strip add a classy premium touch to accentuate the premium Brazilian Rosewood back.
Driving the top is Dana’s ‘secret weapons’ of torrefied Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce and Animal Protein (AP) glue. The combination makes for a very versatile build- perfect for the lightest touch played fingerstyle, yet robust and refined to be strummed hard with pick or flatpicking a lead.
