Handmade by John McQuarrie in Vancouver, British Columbia, this very good condition 2004 Northwood FM80 short scale OM with Venetian cutaway (OMV) features highly Flamed Maple back and sides and Engelmann Spruce top with cocobolo bindings. A premium build at a great price.
Features include a Mahogany neck with dovetail neck joint, Flamed Maple overlay, Ebony fretboard and bridge, Abalone rosette and has the Fishman Ellipse Blend pickup system with volume and blend control between piezo pickup and condenser mic.
There is a barely visible top crack repaired by John McQuarrie perpendicular to the bridge between the rosette and bridge on the bass side. Very clean elsewhere. This is one of the first short scale OMs John built, very easy to play and comfortable.
