The Bourgeois OM-45 Custom is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, featuring Dana’s classy “Vine” multi-colored Abalone Pearl inlaid fretboard, headstock, bridge, and heelcap. All the bells and whistles on this truly heirloom instrument.
Built with Master Grade figured Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with silky flamed figuring from Dana Bourgeois’ private reserve, Master Grade Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce top and braces, Mahogany one piece neck, Animal Protein (AP) glue and full Aged Tone gloss thin finish. Colorful Abalone purflings grace every edge, including along the wedge and neck and rosette plus the backstrip with double herringbone border. The petite “Vine” inlays are an old pre-war style motif, reminiscent of the days of the late 1800’s/ early 1900’s when fancy Pearl inlayed instruments were the height of craftmanship and example of brands. It was true then and it can’t be any truer today.
Engraved Gold Waverly tuners, organic Animal Protein (AP) glue and Antique fossilized Walrus Ivory are extra premium specs that put this over the top. Not to mention the custom Calton case made just for this guitar included. Here is a perfect example of premium handmade craftsmanship and tone woods.
