This very clean excellent condition 2018 Bourgeois D-42 was a highlight at the 2018 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA and has the wow factor at every turn. A premium example of the craftsmanship and dedication to detail Bourgeois Guitars is known for, with premium aesthetics and ear popping tone wood to match.
Quarter sawn, straight grained master grade Brazilian Rosewood is paired with an Aged Tone torrefied Adirondack Spruce top for ultimate tone, warmth and volume. Considered the ‘Holy Grail’ of tone wood combination, the extremely rare and highly sought after Brazilian Rosewood (even rarer with such straight grain these days) works perfectly with the Adirondack Spruce which has an extremely high strength to weight ratio adding clarity and punch to the dreadnought build.
Trimmed out with Abalone Pearl 42-style top purfling and rosette and DB Snowflake fretboard and bridge inlays and Floral headstock inlay along with full Ivoroid bindings, Gold engraved Waverly tuners and Antique Walrus Ivory pins, this fancy dreadnought has that full classy and vintage vibe. The construction features the Bourgeois Aged Tone package: Aged Tone thin gloss finish, Animal Protein glue along with the torrefied Adirondack Spruce top. These are Dana’s Bourgeois’ not so secret weapons to dialing in a vintage build.
Other features include Brazilian Rosewood headstock overlay, heelcap and floating box wedge, satin finish Mahogany neck, multi-color herringbone backstrip, Ebony fretboard and bridge, 1 23/32″ nut width and more.
Includes original deluxe hardshell case.
