George Lowden Luthier Master Series F African Blackwood and Sinker Redwood with Maple Neck

Original price was: $28,500.00.Current price is: $25,650.00.

While Lowden Guitars has a team of skilled builders crafting Lowden’s guitars, this master series model is built by George Lowden himself! These builds are labeled ‘George Lowden Luthier’ and are extremely rare- with an average of 4-5 guitars built a year. A masterpiece that is designed, selected and painstakingly built by the master himself.

For this F sized guitar, George picked a master grade set of African Blackwood for the back and sides- a true Rosewood from central and southern Africa that is prized for it’s tonal character that is akin to the very rare Brazilian Rosewood. The top is a master set of Sinker Redwood with striking deep and rich color variation and tight grain. The Figured Koa contoured arm bevel and bindings adds comfort and contrast to the body while the figured Koa neck bindings adds a classy artistic flair. Sparkling blue and green Abalone Pearl top purflings and segmented rosette with figured Koa trim the top while the custom butterfly and branch inlay by Larry Robinson graces the fretboard. The custom figured Maple neck adds sustain plus great looks and contrast to the body.

An amazing balanced guitar with a rich and deep bass, clear and balanced trebles and mids, this is definitely a keeper for any collection.

Other features include Ebony fretboard, Rosewood pinless bridge, Ebony headstock overlays, George’s signature master series L Abalone Pearl logo, Ebony heelcap, Bone nut and split saddle, 1 3/4″ nut width and more. #409
