The DS is the original 12-fret dreadnought shape, first designed as an oversized Hawaiian guitar almost a century ago. Collings has retained the shape and slotted headstock from that bygone era, but their DS models are thoroughly modern guitars with a unique sound all their own. This DS2HG Custom is built with Madagascar Rosewood back and sides paired with a German Spruce sunburst top with Adirondack Spruce bracing and comfortable 1 3/4″ nut width. A great tonewood combination, this is a powerful formidable weapon that is a perfect fit in any collection.
