Bourgeois L-DBO 12-Fret Artist Custom Figured Walnut and Aged Tone Bearclaw Sitka Spruce Sunburst

Original price was: $14,269.00.Current price is: $12,840.00.

The L-DBO is an iconic guitar, reminiscent of the very popular L sized guitars of the early to mid 20th century, but with some contemporary upgrades. The L-DBO is larger than a 00, slightly smaller than the 000/OM, and designed with a 25” scale neck. It’s relatively narrow upper bout imparts a distinctive wedge-shaped appearance, setting it apart from smaller and midsized guitars. The 12-fret body configuration moves the bridge towards the sweet spot for a warm and punchy tone. A comfortable and powerful guitar- no matter what style of music you want to play.

This eye catching custom L-DBO 12-fret model is built with highly figured Walnut back and sides with a dimensional quilt figure across the grain and is paired with a great Aged Tone torrefied Bearclaw Sitka Spruce top with tobacco sunburst that accents the figure. All around, this guitar is stunning and moves from all angles. Features like the wood half herringbone rope top purfling, headstock purling and rosette, Madagascar Rosewood fretboard and bridge, Abalone and Mother of Pearl Chevron fretboard, headstock and bridge inlays tie this heirloom quality build together.

Other features include full Ivoroid body, fretboard and headstock bindings, Aged Tone torrefied Adirondack Spruce bracing, Animal Protein glue construction, Waverly Nickel tuners with Ivoroid buttons, Madagascar Rosewood headstock overlay, tortoise pickguard, 1 23/32″ nut width, 2.2″ saddle spacing, 25″ short scale length and more.

The L-DBO conceals two secret weapons: An unusually large soundhole for its size, and narrow, 1/4” top bracing which combine to produce unusual power and presence in such a small package. The comfortable smaller body and short scale make this a favorite with fingerstyle and blues players, folkies or really just about anyone. “After a lifetime of playing Dreadnoughts, the L-DBO has become my go-to guitar”, says founder Dana Bourgeois. “Close your eyes and listen to Sierra Hull or Courtney Hartman work an L-DBO on a mic. You’re forgiven for thinking that’s a much larger guitar.”

Includes hardshell case and Lifetime Warranty.
