This has a wonderful Adirondack Spruce top and a top tier set of rare African Blackwood, a true Rosewood that some say rivals the tonal characteristics of the famed Brazilian Rosewood, along with Tasmanian Blackwood custom arm bevel and bindings and 5-piece Maple and Rosewood neck. Tasmanian Blackwood is an Acacia wood, related to Koa and not related to African Blackwood, a Dalbergia. Beautifully balanced, this shorter scale guitar has a full bottom end with clear mids and bell highs. Handmade in Northern Ireland, Lowden guitars are finished in satin and have the look, sound and feel of old world craftmanship.
