Very good + condition 1966 Martin D12-35 with very striking Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. A lot of dark stripes in the orange color wood make this a stand out for the time. Originally released in 1965, this 2nd year model was at the pinnacle of popularity for 12 string guitars at the time. Very prominent in pop and folk music of the time, the iconic Martin 12 string can be heard on countless recordings, from The Byrds, to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and many more.
Normal wear and tear you would expect for a 52 year old guitar. There’s a dull patch on the top upper bout bass side where it looks like maybe there were stickers at one time and got dull from taking them off. Probably could be taken care of with some detailed buffing. The neck has been reset a few years back with a full refret (no wear) and new bone nut and saddle. There is a well done repair from where a strap button was installed in the back center just below the heel cap.
