Collings uses sometimes confusing nomenclature for their model names. Especially when it comes to custom models. The breakdown of the OM1MHSS is – OM= Orchestra Model, the bosy size, 1= aesthetic appointments, usually denotes Mahogany back and sides, b/w top purfling and tortois binding. MH= Mahogany top, or all Mahogany. SS= Short scale length.
